How Messy is.... MESSY?

Hey there! My name is Gabby. I'm 26 years old, a New York Native currently living in New Jersey, and I'm so happy you stopped in to read!

With this being my first post- I figured I'd address the keyword in my blog name- Gabby's Messy Truth...

Have you ever gone out to dinner with friends... and you offer to put your card down for the bill.... and as you go to take said card out of your purse (not wallet.... just your card floating around freely in there), you accidentally pull out two receipts, a gum wrapper, a single Advil pill, three bobby pins, and a couple of unidentified crumbs?

No? Just me???

Well.... I think that little scenario kind of sums up my style.

In my defense- my friends do seem to have looks of shock when the handful of junk spills out onto the table. By that- I mean I don't think I give the outward impression that my purse is a pocket-sized landfill. In many areas of my life, I am very put together- and I very much enjoy looking clean-cut and pretty when I hit the town.

I'm starting this blog for those like me that may SEEM pretty put-together, but on the inside struggle knowing there are a couple of areas of their life that need.... serious de-cluttering. (No- you may not look at the trunk of my car. Yes- that's most likely where my favorite pair of heels, 2018 yearbook, and childhood blankie are buried).

More specifically, while I love to do makeup, try out new hair products, and shopping for a new outfit for going out, I feel like I struggle to be true to the "clean girl aesthetic" that I so badly want to live up to.

My goal here is to try out new products and tricks to help me feel my best inside AND out.

Maybe I'll start with my purse....
